(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- The State is set to honor donors that contributed to over 3,100 acres of Iowa land being protected for conservation.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has announced that the donors associated with the 21 donations of land or land value will be recognized during a ceremony on April 1 in Des Moines. Governor Terry Branstad is scheduled to be in attendance.
The department says over 3,100 acres of Iowa land with an estimated value of $6 million is being permanently protected through donations for conservation.
