(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- Two men were killed when their car left the road and hit a tree.

According to the Des Moines Register, the men were driving an Audi A6 on Route 63 at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday when they failed to follow the curve of the road and drove into a ditch. The car proceeded to go over a driveway and hit the tree.

Donald Geisler, 56, was identified as the driver of the car and Thomas Bradshaw, 50, was the passenger, according to the Register. Both men were killed in the crash.

Police are investigating the accident.
