(WAUKEE, Iowa) -- About 50 school bus drivers will have to reapply for their jobs in Waukee, the Des Moines Register reports.
The drivers will have to reapply for their jobs next year, after the Waukee School Board's decision Monday to hire a new transportation contractor in the 2013-2014 school year. The contract with Durham School Services was unanimously approved by board members, the paper says.
Several Waukee bus drivers said a meeting has been scheduled for Thursday to discuss the new contract, according to the Register.
