(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- A 49-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly being caught burglarizing a Des Moines home on Thursday.
The incident happened on the 3000 block of Dean Avenue. Police say a homeowner returned home to find a male suspect at her home, and after confronting the man, the suspect reportedly used a truck he was driving to ram the homeowner's vehicle and flee the scene, the Des Moines Register reported.
The suspect, identified as Martin Thicklen, was eventually caught by police after a vehicle and foot chase. Thicklen was arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, interference with official acts, driving while suspended, reckless driving, striking fixtures and driving without insurance.
