(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- Department of Management Director David Roederer held a press conference on Thursday to discuss how the state is preparing for sequestration.

If sequestration occurs, the Department of Education would have the biggest budget cut from the state with a reduction of $14,062,118. Other departments that will have thousands of dollars cut from their budgets including Public Heath, Human Services and Natural Resources.

The Public Defense Department will not have any cuts.
