(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- Iowa's unemployment rate has held steady between the end of last year and the start of this year.

A report released by Iowa Workforce Development on Monday said that the state's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5.0 percent from December to January.

The national unemployment rate went from 7.8 percent in December to 7.9 percent in January.
